Icom IC-A220 panel mount transceiver is very suitable for experiment and light sports pilots. This ground-to-air transceiver is capable of operating at 8.33 kHz and 25 kHz channel spacing frequencies. It has the brightest OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display on the market. Compared with traditional displays, it has many advantages in brightness, vividness, high contrast, wide viewing angle and response time. A220 also has a built-in 2-station walkie-talkie, compatible with 12 or 24 volts, with automatic noise suppression and GPS storage functions.

• White light character display
• The built-in light-emitting diode (OLED) of IC-A220 can display 170-degree viewing angle, and white character operation information is displayed more clearly on a black background. Such a backlit display design conforms to the dashboard of modern aircraft. At the same time, the automatic dimming function can easily adjust the brightness suitable for night or day, and the design is more user-friendly.

• Easy to switch channels
• The channels stored in the IC-A220 can be easily and quickly switched. The “flip-flop” bidirectional arrow can be used to quickly switch between the channel and the alternate channel. The built-in multiplexing function can monitor these two channels at the same time.

• Automatic noise suppression function
• The newly added automatic squelch function can detect the received signal level and automatically adjust the squelch level and keep the received call. This machine supports manual squelch adjustment function, and the squelch level can be manually adjusted instantly, which is convenient to use.

• 12V/24V DC power supply
• Built-in DC-DC converter, compatible with 12/24V DC power supply. Makes IC-A220 easy to install on most airplanes or cars.

• Built-in intercom function
• IC-A220 has a built-in voice intercom function, allowing pilots to talk through headphones. The squelch and volume can be adjusted.

• GPS function
• When the machine is connected to a GPS external device, IC-A220 data information, such as frequency, will be transmitted to the nearby airport.
